Non-governmental organizations, public administrations, private companies and citizens, everyone can participate at their own level in adapting to climate change

How tackling climate change issues ?

Two major ways : 

Mitigation

is an attenuation of the environmental impacts that aggravate climate change

Adaptation

is a change of practices allowing to live with the consequences of climate change 

Universally, the preferred method is the mitigation. It is reflecting the current priority of the curative on the preventive. Clim'Adapt wants to focus on the least known but vital and promising method : the adaptation. During our expeditions we had to interact and meet many actors of climate change adaptation. Each actor increases the size and strength of the climate change web. Find here, all these actors.

Non-governmental organizations

A non-governmental organization (NGO) is a non-profit, public-interest association that is not part of the State or international institutions. The main criteria defining an NGO are: the non-profit purpose of its action; financial independence; political independence; the notion of public interest; and adaptation.

ActionAid is an international non-governmental organization whose primary aim is to work against poverty and injustice worldwide. ActionAid works with communities, often via local partner organisations, on a range of development issues.

Public administrations

The various public and state organizations are involved in adapting to climate change both at home and abroad. This is part of a process of sustainable development of the territories in composition with the fight against climate change.

Every person, every human being can adapt to the consequences of climate change on their own scale. Often helped by a third party, it can nevertheless innovate solitary in the fight against climate change.
